Postby André » Tue Dec 29, 2009 11:36 am
Thanks Joaquin,

I will take pictures on the super- and playset-markings also, so everything is easy to find in this thread if someone would like to find these variations.

But because of the new year celebration, I will continue next year.

:celebrate: Happy New Year :celebrate:

Lia,

in my age 52 hours is not a long time. :o And I got 3 bottles of whiskey in my christmasgifts ( I bought 2 for myself :shhh: 8-) )

Unfortunaltly I don´t have my smurfs displayed, so I have to take them out of boxes all the time. And I guess you know how it is, first you think you just take them out for a couple of quick pictures, but once you started there are smurfs all over the place and it takes a day to get all back in the boxes and cupboards again. :relieved: I just managed to squeeze them back in the cupboards again.

Fab info Andre I'm on a mission to get these as I paid them NO attention when they were released.

The painting seems to be beautifully done on them and the majority are China marked.

It's also the first appearance for ages for some of the supers eg cage

Are you a single malt man Andre?

Postby André » Tue Dec 29, 2009 3:03 pm
I am still learning to drink Whiskey Martin. :)

Single malt is nice off course. But these bottles are 3 blended scottish whiskey. 2 of them I bought on tenneriffe, Johnnie Walker. Nothing "classy".

I also bought a spanish wine just because of the name. Torres. 8-) :o

Get onto the good stuff Andre!! Some of the lesser known Scottish single malts are great.

@ wine: I can't blame you, it will clearly be an expensive, good-looking, chic, classy wine which scores with the customer every time!!

Very UNLIKE the less well known English Rooney wine: ugly, costs 1 euro per bottle, tastes like vinegar, guaranteed to make you throw up and get involved in a fight 8-)

Well Graham,

I have not tasted it yet.

And it could very well be like these reviews:

"-Smells like burning autumn leaves, tastes worse. No fun."

"-The quintessential non-wine - no bouquet, no fruit, no flavor, and no finish. This wine, a hallmark to the excesses of modern day technology and those wonderful micropore sterile filters, is devoid of any personality, not to mention pleasure. I would rather chew my way through a cardboard box than put this wine down my gullet."

"-Sour and decaying, like rotten cabbage"

"-Unless you get excited over the smell of rotten vegetables interlaced with the scent of manure, there is nothing much to like about this wine."

Just pick the one you like and I agree. ( Even if it tastes very good. :shhh: 8-) )

I forgot to tell you this about the Yoga.

Since I only compared the one from the french magazine with the one I had displayed, I didn´t know I had 2 markingversions of this. The older one with the smaller marking, also made in China. Then the bigger marking and this you can have in both shiny old painted( almost bad painted  ) and the new matte nice painted from french magazine.

So sorry for this. :-?

Your apologies are accepted André :) :)

I don't have any of these variations unfortunately but the information is nevertheless very interesting

I love those wine reviews by the way - they're all very funny & I've decided to avoid that wine at all costs :)

I love the reviews also,

and they are not for this particulair wine.
Just funny wine reviews I found on internet. ( just to please Graham :shhh: )

By the way Tojo. I think I remember you wrote something about whiskey in a thread. So don´t you think Martin owe us the names of some of the "lesser known Scottish single malts" which are supposed to be great. :o

Have you checked the Bully poster thread? Maureen thought you might have a Bully catalogue.

I must admit that I prefer Irish whiskey to Scotch whisky as it's usually 'smoother' but I did have a glass of Tamdhu when I was in the highlands which was very nice indeed :-D

I don't have a Bully catalogue but I do have the Bullyland museum catalogue which has pictures of the smurfs in it. Maybe I can scan the pages. I'll see if I can do it this week.
