The only Chinese fakes I have are the larger versions of the surprise egg smurfs which you also have.

I expect it's interesting to compare the originals with the Chinese fakes. Perhaps I'll get some someday for that purpose.

I like the kinder smurf on the snail, that's really cute!

Postby Tintin » Sat Feb 26, 2011 3:44 pm
Hi

I don't think that the one on the snail is a kinder.
If i am correct there from the Plastoy's chessboard.

All others are indeed the fake ones.
And yes i love them to.
There so badly painted it's almost funny.
And nine out of ten the sticker on the smurf with drum is upside down :-D

But it's been a while since we had some more fake ones.
Maybe the guy who made them has another job now........ making clothespins :-D

Any way congratulations !!!!

I've seen a lot of confusion about them and seen new collectors buying them, thinking they are getting a deal for genuine ones.

I guess, that's why I personally don't really care for them..I like them as fakes..however, I despise the maker/sellers for putting Schleich tags (albeit those are fake as well) on them, as this is really really really deceiving and not very honest.

Having said this...I got them as well (they are cheap, after all). :)

TinTin is correct the ones above the Kinder smurfs are from Plastoys, unless there are fakes available from them as well? :-?

For those who have the set of fake halloween smurfs...Is the difference of colours so evident than Pierre´s ones???Mine are in Spain but I think the colours are not so dark (the mummy for example) :-?

No wonder I couldn't find the smurf on the snail! I looked all over ebay yesterday for one!
I have the fake Halloween set and the mummy isn't as dark as that either.

Hi Joaquin

The coulours of the fake can be very different.
Here an example.............
The mummy on the left is a real one, the other two are fakes .......
I think it's clear.

Just one more because you can see very clear.
Same story, the one on the left is a real one, the others are fake.

Interesting photos Tintin :D

I see that Smurfowen's witch also has the underside of the brim painted yellow.

I also have all those fake Schleich Smurfs, Indian, anniversary, holloween, and the sports set. I didn't know they were fake when I bought them, but I am glad I did. Did you notice the canoe smurf in the indian set was 2 piece? And also as pointed out by someone. (I think Moey) the Sports set is modeled after the Mcdonalds smurfs which don't have tags. lol

Hi

The smurfs on the right of the pictures i just bought lately.
So i think those are different then the ones you could buy a few years ago...........

The McDonalds have a tag on them but they miss the Mac sign on them ..................

Not many but there are a few smurfs that are in fact two pieces.
Like the smurfette that comes out of the cake.

Now I'm really curious. I can see 1 tag on the fake Skateboard Mcdonnalds Smurf. I don't really see any others.

Now that I said I didn't see any others with tags, I do see one the the Smurfette Skater.

Hi Bill

Sorry i already changed my reaction on this topic.
The fake McDonalds do have a tag but doesn't have the Mac sign on them !!!!!

I see that now lol No biggie. I'm sure that there will be diffrences in anything you might find on ebay. The last time I set up a Holloween display in the office, I used the fake set. No one even noticed. The as you and anyone else that have them know they are pretty well done, and only someone that knows what to look for can tell the diffrence.

Hi Bill

The molds are good, and the painting from the Indian and Halloween are good to.
But the painting from the last Halloween, the Mac and the 50 year smurfs i think is very poor done.

Here is a picture from one of them.
Look at the bottle...............

For mostly bad paint, they dont look to bad, molds taken from the auctual figures i guess, but the Gargamel on the right From the 50th set looks just Awful in My Book, what do you think?
